Passengers written by Jon Spaihts and directed by Morten Tyldum; was an amazing watch. Gripping from start to finish.

Featured two lead roles: Jennifer Lawrence, who plays Aurora Lane a writer and journalist and Chris Pratt, who plays Jim Preston a mechanical engineer.

Aurora and James, along with 5,256 other passengers, set off on a 120 year journey to planet Homestead II, on the Avalon ship. All travellers are transported in hibernation pods; however, after the ship collides with an asteroid, Jim’s hibernation pod opens 90 years too early. He begins his life on the Avalon ship all alone, first confused then soon he adjusts to Avalon life. Although as expected, he gets lonely. This is where Jim meets Aurora. The pair get to know each other, grow a friendship and adapt to life on the ship.

I really loved this film! So many turns in the story; never mind the captivating story itself. A ship carrying 5,258 people, heading to another planet to create another world; what a concept! Jennifer Lawerence is one of my most favourite actresses ever! Any movie she’s been in I’ve loved, she’s an amazing actor. Also Chris Pratt, he is fairly new to me; I’ve not watched many of his films. But I did enjoy watching him in this movie; both actors really played their parts well.

This movie is definitely recommended by me. Will not disappoint; exciting, thrilling and compelling scenes throughout the film. Get Passengers watched!!
