“We have to protect them”

As I said before, I hate horror films. Therefore, A Quiet Place took me right out of my comfort zone. Though I was still intrigued to give this film a watch. And I’m glad I did; even though I was pretty shook!!

Bryan Woods and Scott Beck created a thrilling, compelling and breathtaking story. Along with John Krasinski, who also directed the film but in addition is also one of the main characters; he plays the dad of the family, Lee Abbott. Which I think is astonishing; being the director as well as a character in a film. Just goes to show the skill set John Krasinski has!! His also just as amazing wife, Emily Blunt, starred in the film too. Emily Blunt played the mother of the family, Evelyn Abbott.

A Quiet Place is about a family who are forced to live in a post-apocalyptic world; where no noise can be made or else these horrific creatures come to attack and kill. The family face trials and tribulations throughout the film in order to evade capture from the creatures.

The whole film has you on the edge of your seat; your eyes can’t leave the screen, you don’t want to make any noise and if you’re anything like me, you’re gripping onto someone’s hand or a pillow is over your face preparing for the scary bits!

My favourite scene from the movie, is definitely when Evelyn is having the baby. For obvious reasons; you have to be insanely quiet and Evelyn is trying to have a baby – that just puts the scene into some perspective. For me this was one of the most captivating scenes in A Quiet Place.
